As if moving across the composition, the strength of the summer sun is the protagonist of French-Romanian artist Ana Popescu’s. Created from rich wax pastels, the scene recalls the long summer evenings in her adopted home of Vienna, where light streams in through open windows. Streaking across a room in vibrant shades of purple, red and dusty yellow, the simple graphic nature of the work accentuates her use of colour, light and shadow.

Produced in Denmark under the Swan certification system.
